Defence Research and Studies (DRaS) is introducing few ‘Stars’ of the MSME sector in a series of articles for Defence Sector’. These firms are directly involved in indigenisation of defence-related hardware and systems aiding the Nation to become ‘Aatma Nirbar’ under the ‘Make in India’ programme. “Infinity Radar” is an Information Technology firm based out of Gujarat. This establishment was started as a proprietary firm and is functional since the year 2017 under the banner ‘Infinity Digital Technology’. The company later on inspired by Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s initiative Start-up India and Make in India, started research and development in the sector of Electronic Warfare (EW) under the able leadership of the company’s CEO Mr Himanshu P Dave.

Defence India Startup Challenge (DISC)

‘Infinity Radar’ feels privileged to have participated in Defence India Startup Challenge (DISC) both DISC 2 and DISC 3 at a competitive level. The company has successfully designed and developed prototypes of “Anti-Drone Gun”, 4 and 6 Channel Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna{CRPA) and Anti-Jamming Global Positioning System (GPS) systems so far. 

Current Focus

Company is currently working with a cluster of firms on various Electronic Warfare projects. The team has already built up an expertise in design and development to RF systems, antenna design and development, associated electronics systems and prototyping. In future the company is planning to set the focus on developing advanced jammers, backpack jammers for Improvised Explosive Device (IED), Mobile Jammer with whitelist counter-surveillance devices and many projects in Software Define Radio Systems (SDRS).

Military Jammers

Military jammers play a key role in battlefields by informing and protecting soldiers from territorial threats. Military jammers are operated at a very high-frequency range compared to the civil counterpart and are able to jam various frequencies/wavelengths simultaneously. The demand for military jammers will increase in the coming years. The rising deployment of radar jamming decoys, unmanned aerial vehicles and rising territorial conflicts among nations are the main reasons for the increase of demand in Jammers. As per Market Research Future (MRFR) analysis, the global military jammer market is expected to register a CAGR of 8.36% during the forecast period 2018–2025.

Capturing Domestic Market

‘Infinity Radar’ aspires to be one of the reputed company / MSME in the field of EW and ESM with the intension to support the Indian Armed Forces with indigenous products and innovative designs aided with state of the art technology. The firm is currently focused on import substitutes and aims at manufacturing fully indigenous products towards saving precious forex. Presently a fair amount of capital flight is happening towards the purchase of Electronic Warfare (EW) and Electronic Support Measures (ESM) systems and subcomponents from abroad. Infinity Radar aims to capture this market by aiding the Nation under the newly commissioned programme “Aatma Nirbar Bharat“.

Eyeing Export

The company is also eyeing the possibility of exporting the products in the coming years. The firm can break even the revenue only if adequate numbers are produced. By exploring international markets, the firm can progress growth in the coming years.
